Position Overview:The Production Control Specialist is responsible for the monitoring and guiding the workflow of the PDC via the administration of key indicator reporting. As a jack of all trades, the Production Control Specialist is responsible for reporting on and supplying the principal data used in the governance of PDC productivity. This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

* Monitor and manage the day-to-day tasks, for both the orderflow stream and workflow of the PDC via key indicator reports for overall production
* Act as the liaison on the floor to other departments (emails, meetings, etc.) and work with the Senior Supervisor, Order Fulfillment to drive communication dissemnation for respective assigned focus area (i.e. set up the website, send out emails, app notification, etc.)
* Follow-up and resolve system notifications
* Create additional adhoc reports for managers, as needed
* Participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals

Orderflow
* Run previous day comparisons and finals (i.e. Workflow reports, SCI reports, production numbers, que levels, queued work, hourly rates, cycle counts, batch reports, missed carriers, etc.)
* Reference the Knapp system throughout shift to determine any adjustments liason by monitoring basis with the RMT in the room and interacting with Knapp which will let them know when something is being brought down to work on or what not, they will be notified (hourly/daily checkin) to know what is being worked on and what needs to be adjusted to keep the work going
* Monitor Manhattan Software to ensure sales orders are building and releasing appropriately and take appropriate steps if they are not
* Collaborate with PM Pick and Pack management and make focused adjustments to align with their current workflow state
* Share best practices and input for decision making and adjustments based on workforce and focus area trends and PDC needs
* Take care of issues that arise, pertaining to the order and workflow
* Monitor levels and take action-out items (i.e. orderflow exceptions)

Workforce (Labor)
* Run previous day comparisons and finals (i.e. labor production, hourly rates, batch reports, missed carriers, utilization rates, etc.)
* Handle the management of overtime
* Collaborate with Pick and Pack management and make focused adjustments based on their current utilization rates
* Share best practices and input for decision making and adjustments based on workforce trends and PDC needs
* Handle the management of overtime

Chase Order
* Run previous day comparisons and finals (i.e. hourly rates, batch reports, missed carriers, etc.)
* Create chase order reports for the PDC
* Run previous day comparisons and finals
* Rectify failed chase orders
* Move parts around as needed via the Management Transport System
* Collaborate with PM Pick and Pack management and make focused adjustments based on chase order results
* Share best practices and input for decision making and adjustments based on chase order trends and PDC needs
* Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Physical Requirements:
