Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools; cleaning working area, machine, and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman. Works with manager to determine what tasks need to be outsourced.
Perform required preventive maintenance, repairs and operation, consistence with his/her experience, of building systems to ensure that all systems and equipment are operating properly. Will be trained and monitored during probation period.
Make necessary repairs by removing and replacing faulty parts, equipment and/or fixtures.
Painting, cleaning, furniture assembly and repair. Wall mounting of TV’s pictures and boards.
Work grounds maintenance, Ice removal when necessary.
Replace switches, fluorescent tubes/light bulbs, relays, couplings and fittings.
Respond to service calls within required time frames.
Maintain accountability of property; adhere to safety practices.
Perform other building maintenance duties when required and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Basic mechanical skill set.
PREFERRED:
High School Diploma or GED

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
Security Clearance Requirements
It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. The Contractor shall submit security clearance information, for each employee, as required by current government identification card application procedures and future requirements as applicable.
